Saturday 6 March 11:00 - 12:00
Following on from World Book Day we’ll be welcoming Tom Mclaughlin to the Custom House to celebrate with an event that’s suitable for the whole family.
Tom McLaughlin is a former political cartoonist turned children’s author and illustrator. His picture books and chapter books have been published all around the world, and have been read on CBeebies’ Bedtime Story many times; he’s also written about dyslexia for the Guardian, worked as an animation designer, and script writer.
In his event he’ll be talking about his journey as a dyslexic kid, to best-selling author, reading from his books, as well as demonstrating live illustration and giving drawing tips.
This event will be live-streamed from Exeter Custom House. There is an opportunity to be part of a small, socially distanced live audience at the Custom House for this event. We will be following Government guidance to ensure the event is Covid-19 secure.
We will be following social distancing guidance during this event, including a two metre distancing rule, provision of hand sanitiser and a clearly marked one-way system. Exeter Custom House requires that face coverings are worn when inside the building.
This event is going to be filmed for live broadcast on Crowdcast. You may appear on screen. Please only book if you are happy with this.
Tickets are limited and available on a first come-first served basis. Please only book if you intend to be part of the invited audience on 6th March. Please provide your full name, email address and phone number when booking. Book your place here.
