‘Writing Fiction’ a five week short course with Virginia Baily

This five week short course is open to all, writers, would-be writers and I-don’t-think-I-can-write-fiction writers and is aimed at uncovering or refreshing your inner writer. We will explore how to generate ideas, plot a story, use & transform what you know & create three-dimensional characters and emerge with a personalised writer’s toolkit to sustain our ongoing practice.

About this short course

The course will run on consecutive Thursdays for 5 weeks at 6.30 – 8.30 pm. By booking a place you are signing up to the full five sessions. The dates of the course are:

Concessionary rates are available.

About the tutor, Virginia Baily

Virginia Baily is an author, teacher and editor. She has written three novels: Africa Junction (which won the McKitterick prize), Early One Morning, a Sunday Times bestseller, and, most recently The Fourth Shore. She lives in Exeter, co-edits Riptide short story journal and is working on her fourth novel.
